Egypt Bluff Properties, LLC was formed in 2004 as a limited liability corporation (LLC) for the purpose of acquiring by purchase, lease, or otherwise and improving and developing real property, erecting dwellings, apartment houses and other buildings, private or public of all kinds and selling or renting the same.

In the summer of 2004 Egypt Bluff Properties, LLC purchased to develop ninety-five acres of land contiguous to the existing Brigadoon Subdivision, located in the western section of Limestone County, Alabama.  John T. "Tom" and Judy Richardson, husband and wife, along with their daughter Tere Richardson and her husband Gary Van Wagnen are the primary shareholders of the corporation.  In 2005, Egypt Bluff Properties acquired an additional 23 lots within the original subdivision and a connected marina.
